2014 is coming to an end. My, my, it’s been quite the year! I feel like this year was the beginning of my “real life” and it was absolutely awesome. I got featured in Cosmopolitan magazine, wrote my bachelor thesis, graduated from uni, collaborated with some awesome people and brands, and took the first steps towards creating my own carreer by starting this blog and my MUA business, and taking my videos to the next level.
This year was spent in preparation for great things, and next year I hope my projects take off and lead me to even greater things. It’s good to look ahead and set goals for yourself, so today I’d like to share my 2015 new year’s resolutions and goals with you.
My ultimate goal is to be able to live off my own work- blogging, videos and makeup jobs. Getting to that point takes a lot of hard work and I’m more than willing to provide that. At the moment I work at a department store part time to get somewhat of a steady income, and I’d be absolutely thrilled if I’d be able to let that go by the end of 2015, but if I can’t, I’ll happily keep working there and work extra hard on my own projects to get there in 2016.
I function best with a well filled to-do list kicking me in the butt so I’m only excited to take on this resolution.
Connect With Friends
Since I graduated from uni, I obviously haven’t had as much contact with friends as before. Many of them are graduating this year and that’s going to make it even harder to all stay in touch, since everybody’s going their own way (and they won’t have free use of public transport anymore, either). Since I’m a bit of a workaholic and tend to get really busy and forget, I need to make a conscious effort to keep in toch with my friends. It’s important!
Learn More About Photography
Starting a blog meant plunging head-first into the world of photography. I started as a complete rookie and I feel like I’ve already made a lot of progress, but there’s still so much more to learn! I’m excited to practice, educate myself and improve.
I wrote a blogpost a while ago about introducing blackout night for a weekly technology detox. Lo and behold, I haven’t done it once. Shame on me! I think it’s a great idea and I need to force myself to do it, whether it’s alone or with my friends or boyfriend. Dive into books, wool and harp music!
I’m so ready for 2015 and all the amazing things it has to offer!
