Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo has become a complete staple in my life, I always have at least one can in my hair drawer and I love trying out new kinds. So far, Batiste dry shampoo is my favourite. I love that their basic dry shampoo does what is expected of it, nothing more and nothing less. It removes the greasy look of hair that could use a wash, but never gets sticky or crunchy or “dirty-feeling”, like some other brands do. I recently got sent a can of the new and improved Batiste XXL Volume dry shampoo, and as I love my hair big of course I had to give it a try and let you know what my thoughts are.

Winter Has Come | Loepsie’s Life

Happy Monday everybody! It’s time to take a look at some photos I took last week and everything I was up to. This week I spent a lot of time just working from home. I’m trying to work ahead so that I’ll have plenty of time for packing and moving when we get a green light on the apartment we’re hoping to rent. But of course there was time for relaxation and fun as well, so let’s take a look!

For some reason, rats love to climb up as high as possible and then hang over the edge. This wooden bridge is right at the top of the cage and here you can see Llewelyn enjoying the view. From below. Isn’t this just adorable? Look at that little chin! Those little paws! Awwww <3

January Weekend Loves #2

We’ve got a period-themed Weekend Loves going on this week! My apologies but the monthly festival does keep one occupied I’m afraid, haha! I’ve put together a list of my favourite things of the week again for you, so let’s take a look.

Melanie’s PMS Party

I’m very lucky to have grown up in a country where genitals and all their functions are openly discussed in schools, in magazines and on TV, and in a family that doesn’t make things like that a taboo, so I’ve always been well educated on the topic. When I made my menstural cup video I was shocked by some of the comments, I never realised some people don’t even know how many holes are down there and what they do. It’s so important to know about those things, for health and hygiene but also mental wellbeing. The internet is an amazing resource for people in social environments where stuff like this isn’t talked about, so I’m all for videos like these. Informative, personal, casual, like a big sister chat. I love Melanie and I adore this concept of a PMS party where we all chat about periods and how we feel about/during them. Love the format and can’t wait to see more episodes!

Cold Winter Day | OOTD

It’s been freezing in the Netherlands. Proper freezing. Ice skating fanatics are going mad, there’s frost on the trees, and there’s even snow on the ground in the countryside. We don’t get snow often in the Netherlands so it always feels super special when there is some. I’m personally very bad at handling cold, my body does much better in a warmer climate, but every now and again some good, old-fashioned wintery weather is just plain fun. Robbert and I decided to head out to Amelisweerd to take a little walk as the sun was shining, and I brought my camera to capture some of the beauty. I also thought I’d share my standard outdoors outfit for winter with you, what I wear when it’s freezing and how I attempt to stay at least somewhat comfortable. Hint: wearing two pairs of gloves helps a lot. I always try to make an effort to make my outerwear look cute, especially this time of year as it’s often all people see you in.
