It's always time for tea

February Weekend Loves #3

Happy weekend! Do you have anything exciting planned? I’m going to be celebrating my brithday with my family but other than that, I don’t have much going on. I’ll be excitedly looking forward to my actual birthday on Wednesday that I’m spending in the Efteling, my favourite place on earth. Anyways, it’s time to share my best discoveries of this week with you! My list is dominated by one giant favourite, which has instantly become one of my favourite things of all time…

This Movie

Ok, here’s the deal. I LOVE the Lego movie. Batman is my favourite super hero. When I heard there was a Lego Batman movie coming out, I knew I had to see it, and the release just kind of happened to coincide with Valentine’s day… So yeah, we went to see the Lego Batman movie on our Valentine’s date. AND I HAVE NO REGRETS!!! I went in with very hight expectations, half expecting to be disappointed, but it was amazing. This is one of the greatest movies ever made. I loved every second of it. They had me literally crying with laughter within the first five minutes of the movie, and I’m usually quite a tough crowd. The creators of the Lego movies just hit my type of humour spot on and I can’t resist it. Not everyone is probably going to love this as much as I do but this is definitely going on my list of movies I don’t mind watching over and over. Here you have three trailers just because.

This Yogurt

I tried this kind of unintentionally last week as Alpro yogurts were on sale two for one, and I randomly picked up this one. But my oh my, is it gooood! I had it with the IKEA muesli (can also recommend that, by the way) and it was delicious. I wish it wasn’t so ridiculously pricy, otherwise this would become a fridge staple in my home.

This Playlist

Last weekend my friend hosted a dinner and she had this playlist on in the background. I noticed it featured a lot of the songs I have in my personal playlist and many songs I enjoy. I’ve been listening to this a lot this past week! It’s nice and long, which makes it perfect for travelling.

This Video

I have a soft spot for productivity tips. I don’t know why, as I’m pretty sure I already know all the tips there are out there, but I just like hearing them over and over again. It motivates me. Carly always has super helpful videos with a dose of humour, and I really enjoyed this one about running a one woman business.

This Wallpaper

I’m completely over winter and more than ready for spring to come around. This week we luckily had some days with lovely sunshine so I’m hoping temperatures will go up more permanently soon. I always like to have a seasonal desktop wallpaper as it’s quite prominent in my room, and I recently switched over from a snowy tree to this. So cheery and colourful! I downloaded it off Something Peach, she has a phone and tablet version as well.

Have a great weekend! I’ll be back tomorrow with a historical hair tutorial that I’m very excited about 🙂

  1. Happy birthday to you! Hope you have a great one. I’ve wanted to visit the Efteling ever since you Vlogged about it. It looks so fun!! I’m hoping to take my son to the Lego Batman movie this week. He has off school for the week (for the President’s Day holiday here in the U.S.), and I think he will really like it. So much better when the kid movies are also movies that adults can enjoy too!

    1. Thank you Mellie! Hope you enjoy the movie, it has lots of grown-up references and the storyline isn’t painfully childish either IMO, haha!
