Transitional Vintage | OOTD

We’ve gotten lucky. Autumn has officially begun, but we’re getting a bout of perfect late summer weather in the Netherlands this week! Now, I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I’ve had an outfit waiting around for this exact type of weather, and I’m super excited I get to wear it now. It’s the ideal late summer/early autumn transitional outfit which mixes two of my favourite colours: summery pink and autumnal burgundy. These aren’t colours I’d normally combine, but in this outfit I feel like it works wonderfully. Plus, I finally get to properly feature my beautiful retro 50’s dress! This is definitely one of my favourite outfits in a long time. I feel like it’s very 2017 Lucy: classy casual with a touch of retro. I’ve found myself gravitating towards this kind of style a lot lately. This outfit is also a perfect excuse to wear my shiny burgundy shoes, which have proven to be very difficult to combine. They go so well with my new little backpack! Love it.

What I’m Wearing

Dress: Mango
Jacket: New Yorker
Backpack: Berschka
Shoes: Primark
