Spring Nail Polish Favourites

Besides clothing, you can usually tell I’ve transitioned into a new season by my lipstick and nail polish. As the sun is coming out more often, temperatures go up and crocuses are blooming, I’m stepping away from dark reds and pinks and starting to wear fresh, light pastel colours again. I’m very traditional in that sense; I love my pastels and feel like there’s no better time for them than spring time. These are my 6 favourite spring nail polishes!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel “Birthday Suit”

The Miracle Gels have stolen my heart. They’re the only nail polishes that stay on my nails for more than two days, and this light pink nude is my absolute favourite. It’s a cool pink that looks really nice with my skin colour and literally goes with everything I wear. This has become my go-to nail polish and although I love it year-round, I think it’s a perfect fresh pastel colour for spring.

Madam Glam “Sea, Swing & Sun”

This one came out a lot brighter on camera, in real life it’s a much softer pastel blue with a hint of lavender. It’s a little bit of a brighter colour, but still soft and pastely enough to be categorised as a true spring nail polish. Sea, Swing & Sun is definitely a colour that catches the eye!

NYC Expert Last Nail Polish “Mint Macaroon”

Ok, so I feel like mint is slowly but surely going out of style and that makes me really sad. I love mint! It’s such a fresh, cool colour, and it just screams spring to me. You’ll definitely see this on my nails this season!

Madam Glam “Sandman”

As the muted, “grey-infused” colours remain fashionable, this nail polish is a bit more of an on-trend option. I love the colour, which is a muted lilac with a bit of a grey or nude undertone and just a touch of shimmer which is nearly undetectable on the nails. Very pretty!

Essie “Mademoiselle”

This beautiful sheer light pink is a perfect pick when you don’t feel like wearing something super noticable, but still want your nails to look good. It’s a nail polish I keep in my bridal kit just in case, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The light, airy feeling of it makes it perfect for spring and summer in my opinion.

spring nail polish 6

OPI “In True Stefani Fashion”

And lastly, something completely different: glitter! Glitter has been popping up in makeup looks on runways during fashion weeks, and since nail polish is always a little step-stool into trends for me, I’ll gladly start wearing fun glittery nail polish again. It brings out my inner little girl, haha! This one by OPI is gorgeous and sophisticated.

What colours do you like to wear on your nails in spring?

  1. I’m usually not a fan of pink at all but I make an exception for nail polishes. My favourite nail polishes for spring are a bright pink and a bright coral, but I also have a mint one that I really like (and I refuse to accept this is going out of style). The Sandman one you showed in this post reminds me of my, uhum, “humble” collection of greyish purples and blues. I have like… ten of these? Whoops. x) At least they’re suitable for a lot of different occasions. :)

  2. I love that mint!! I recently just got a color that is similar to “sandman” but with a bit more grey tone. I love it!!
