I’m in Spain! Woop! And as announced, I’m going to share my adventures with you through these photo logs. I was planning to only do one, but with the amount of pictures I’ve taken already, I figured I might as well post a few as I go. The more, the merrier, right? Let’s kick it off with my first two days here!
The Journey There
I start every trip with the traditional holiday cup of Starbucks coffee at Schiphol Airport. Caramel macchiato, anyone?
My brother and I had a good laugh at this sandwich packaging. Someone clearly misinterpreted the use of quotation marks, resulting in this amazing text :)
When we boarded the plane, we were told Barcelona was going through extremely bad weather and our flight would be delayed. After a series of very unfortunate events, we ended up having to wait on the plane for six hours (!) before we finally took off. I wish they would have at least let us back into the airport…
Upon arrival in Barcelona, we were greeted by a gloomy sky slashed with a giant rainbow. There’s hope still!
We arrived at night, much later than anticipated, but the beautiful sea view from our apartment made up for it.
The First Day
Good morning Catalunya! Having my first cup of tea on the balcony while looking at the beach. Bliss!
(By the way, I’m very impressed with how these nail stickers are holding up. Kudos, Revlon!)
After the storm yesterday, the weather picked up but it was still chillier out than I had anticipated. I bought me a pair of skincoloured tights at the supermarket. Spanish skincolour, that is. I need to get a tan, fast! Don’t think I’ve ever had tights this mismatched.
Since it was too chilly to lay on the beach, we decided to take a walk down the boulevard.
So many shells and stones by the sea! I love how blue the water is. The Dutch sea is grey, for some reason. Can’t compare!
After we came home I spent a few hours reading a Feast for Crows on the balcony, napping, and ofcourse, enjoying a sangria :)
We’re currently watching Germany crush Brazil in the World Cup. Netherlands vs. Argentina is tomorrow, we’re going to watch in a bar, I’m excited!
Even Spanish girls have a hard time finding skincolour tights that match with our skin, believe me U_U I don't know why they don't sell lighter shades, most of us have pale skin ¬¬*
Sitges is beautiful, I hope you're having a good time there! <3
I loooooved Barcelona so much! I hope you have a great time like I did!
Haha, leuke column!
Thanks! It's a Canon EOS 700D (Rebel T5i) :)
