I still remember the first time I came to Utrecht. My mom and I came to have a look at the only university in the Netherlands that offered Celtic studies, and I instantly fell in love with the ancient buildings, the canals with their little restaurants, the wobbly streets… And especially the atmosphere. It’s cozy, safe, and so calm, compared to Amsterdam. I lived in Amsterdam for two years before moving to Utrecht, and I’ve talked before about how much I didn’t feel at home there. It was very tourist-oriented, busy, stressed out, dirty, dangerous… Just not a place where I should be.
Utrecht has all the beauty that Amsterdam does (even more, if you ask me), but is short all the negative points of Amsterdam. For all the praise Amsterdam receives, I feel Utrecht is terribly overlooked.
Today I want to show you why I love this city so much. I’m going to take you to my favourite places and show you the most beautiful spots in what I believe to be the most beautiful city in the Netherlands.

Utrecht is a beautiful city, but I think it's too far away from Eindhoven for daily commuting. Den Bosch is a lot closer, and I've heard it's a very nice place as well. I haven't been there myself though. I have been to Eindhoven and I have to agree, there are nicer places in the Netherlands ;) I'm pretty sure there's work for engineers all over the county though? :o

Hi Loepsie! I like your videos and blogposts. Always a pleasure when I have a notification ;) With my boyfriend, we want to move out in the NL next year. We're gonna take dutch lessons this year. We went several times these pasts years and we kind of fell in love with this beautiful country. We don't know yet where we want to live in the NL… I was thinking about Utrecht (I have a cousin who lives in this city too), Den Bosch maybe, do you know this city? Amsterdam is certainly too big for us. My boyfriend will certainly have to work in Eindhoven as he's engineer. but I don't think Eindhoven is a nice place to live? We are coming back again at the end of the month, I hope it will help us to make a choice ;) Thank youuu Bisous from France
