Simonetta Vespucci | Beauty Beacons

This week’s episode of Beauty Beacons is all about Italian renaissance beauty Simonetta Vespucci, who stole many an influential man’s heart before her untimely death. I’m going to show you how to recreate her look!

  1. Love it and your whole series! Very well researched and fun. It would be awesome to see a proper ancient Egyptian as well (i.e. not a Ptolemy), like the big name Nefertiti or other famous queens and pharaohs like Nefertari or Hatshepsut, both of whom were quite lovely. Or more recently, someone like Livia Drusilla, Isabella of Angoulême, or Eleanor of Aquitaine. Also, while there isn’t any indication whatsoever of Helen’s physical appearance in The Iliad (other than the greatest imaginable beauty and the vague assumption of hair that was lighter than black), it may be fun to mess about with some underrepresented bronze-age Mycenaean styles :)
