For years, one of my biggest makeup issues was creasing concealer. No matter what concealer I used, it would always collect in the fine lines underneath my eye and make them practically light up; not a good look. I’ve tried many things to counter this throughout the years and now I’ve found a power combo that actually works. Allow me to show you how to stop concealer from creasing!
Prime
The first and most important thing is to use an eyeshadow primer on the under-eye area. Might sound like a strange thing to do, but it makes perfect sense. Eyeshadow primer helps grab on to the product applied over top and stops it from sliding around the skin- thus helping counter creasing. It also intensifies the colour and finish of your concealer. Make sure you only apply a thin layer though, we don’t want any bulk here!
Apply
The next step is to apply your concealer, and there’s also some mileage to be made here: be sure to blend the concealer in by patting it, not swiping. Swiping will drive the product into the fine lines, and although it might not show up right away, this effect will worsen over time and cause more creasing.
Set
The last step is to set the concealer. I found that the best method is to, again, apply powder in a patting motion, using a puff. I like using a little more powder as my skin is oily there, but I know some people benefit more from a thinner layer of powder.
These three steps have really helped me stop concealer from creasing. It looks a lot nicer and lasts longer, too. I hope these tips are able to help some of you beat the dreaded concealer crease!
Die laatste foto waarbij je de concealer aan het ”setten” bent is super mooi! Die kan zo in een tijdschrift =)
Dank je! :D
Makes total sense! Tried it with MAC paint pot, but that also creases. Should try it with UD!
