I used up a bottle of shampoo! It’s a miracle!
For some reason, shampoos tend to last me forever. I got this one last christmas, so I used it for almost a year. What?! Here’s my review of the Organix ever straight brazilian keratin therapy shampoo.
The Product
The number one reason why I wanted this shampoo in the first place, is that it doesn’t contain SLS. I went through a period of hairloss when I used a very SLS heavy shampoo, so I’m very careful to only use shampoo that doesn’t contain any now. This product does contain dimethicone, but my hair seems to be fine with sillicones so that doesn’t bother me too much. It makes the hair soft and shiny, but it’s not all sillicones, the shampoo contains a lot of really nice ingredients as well: cocoa butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, aloe extract, and liquid keratin.
The shampoo smells of coconuts, which is a smell I personally don’t like but it’s not very strong and didn’t linger in my hair.
After washing my hair with this shampoo, it felt really clean and stayed that way for almost two days. That’s a lot for me! It made my hair really shiny and smooth and soft. I wasn’t used to getting that from SLS free shampoos, so I was very impressed with that! The packaging promises that the keratin in the product will strengthen and soften your hair. I personally didn’t notice that my hair was stronger, but then again I only really use shampoo on my roots, so maybe I didn’t get the full effect. My hair was definitely softer after washing.
The Packaging
I really like the design of the Organix products. The rounded bottle looks a little fancier than your regular shampoo, and I like the Philosophy-style writing on the front. The cap is pretty standard, works alright, and the plastic is squeezable so you can get the product out easily. It’s hard to get the last bit of shampoo out, but that’s the case with pretty much any shampoo packaging.
Will I Repurchase?
I fell in love with this shampoo, but since I didn’t love the smell, I want to try another kind. I’m curious to see how other Organix shampoos work, too! I already got the rejuvenating cherry blossom ginseng shampoo, which is supposed to add volume and moisture to the hair. That’s just what I need, can’t wait to see if it works! Organix shampoo is a little bit on the pricier side, but if this bottle lasts me close to a year a well, it’s definitely worth it.
So for now, I’m not repurchasing the ever straight brazilian keratin therapy shampoo, but I may return to it in the future.
İ think am going to buy this shampoo i saw another youtuber used it in i saw it in pharmacy ❤️
Hey lucy,
I live in the Netherlands just like you! lol. I was hoping you could recomend me some shampoos and conditioners that I can buy in drugstores here in the neterlands. Isimply cannot find shampoo’s without big amounts of harmfull chemicalls and the ones without SLS are so expensive and hard to find.
Please help me lucy my hair is crying. XD
Hi Jolien,
I absolutely love Organix shampoo, I buy them at Etos :) For a more budget friendly option I love the shampoos from Erica Kruiderijen, if you have one of their stores near you definitely check them out! Also organic food stores often carry natural hair products :) Good luck!
I am very into using hair products with as little chemicals and mostly natural ingredients as possible. I have such damaged and dry hair, and I love the organix products! My favorite shampoo by them is just the plain Keratin one, but I think you would love another brand called Shea Moisture!! 100% natural ingredients, they are a little on the pricier side but if you say an organix bottle lasts you almost a year I think you could definitely splurge on such an amazing product! :) Hope i could help. I love you Lucy xoxo
I have been thinking of trying Organix shampoo. Now I'm more likely to try it! Thanks for the review. :)
Try the argon oil one maybe? I thought it was ok, but I had to wash my hair a little more frequently… They brought out a biotin one recently that I want to try though (in a dark purple bottle) but i havent seen a conditioner that goes with it, but it could just be where im looking (i live in the UK)- conditioners a pretty important thing for my hair (pretty damn curly, but the frizz is more a problem towards the ends and its a little more coarse towards the ends where i had ombre a few months ago… Very slowly growing hair…) :)
