A while ago, I tweeted this:
Random fact of the day: I know how to fold fitted sheets really nicely. #usefulskills

A bunch of responses came in from desperate readers who have been fighting the fitted sheet monster for ages and hadn’t felled it yet. So I made a promise:
I had no idea so many of you struggle with folding fitted sheets. I’m coming to the rescue! 😁💪 — Lucy (@Loepsie) October 19, 2015
And here I am! I’m going to show you exactly how to fold those annoying sheets with the impossible elastic around them, into a perfectly neat little packet. Let’s go!
(And no, I don’t iron my sheets. Ain’t nobody got time for that!)
Oh, fitted sheets… What to do with them? My bed is 140 x 200 cm, so the sheets are quite large on top of being weirdly shaped.
The first thing we’re going to do, is grab the corners of one of the long sides (so the 200cm length for me).
Then, flip one of the corners inside out, so that it fits into the other corner. The “flipped” corner will be wrong side up now. Don’t twist the entire sheet! Repeat on the opposite side.
When you do this on both long sides, you should end up with this: your sheet is essentially folded in half, but the corners are tucked into each other instead of laying on top of each other.
Now, hold both corners up, flip one inside out again, and tuck it into the other one.
By now your sheet should look like this. All the corners with elastic are gathered on one side and all tucked inside each other. Now you only have one “weird” corner to worry about, instead of four!
Now all there’s left to do is straighten this into a nice rectangular shape…
Fold it into thirds horizontally…
And then fold it into thirds vertically.
Voilá! Your perfectly neatly folded fitted sheet. It’s really so easy to do, once you know how to tuck the corners. That trick makes it so much easier to do!
I really hope this was helpful for you guys- I know learning this made a huge difference in how my linen storage looks, and in the amount of frustration it brings to fold these things. Good luck with folding! :)
I will seriously thank you for this forever.
My life is changed.
Love. You.
Awesome. I learned this trick a year or two ago. It’s really helpful.. :D
Also, to make things even more simple.. I put my duvet cover and the sheet into the pillow case. That way it’s all put together in a little package. :D
Loepsie, you are a legend <3
Hahahaha thanks for this helpful tutorial! I usually just wad them up and shove them in my closet and hope for the best. By the way, your hair looks amazing in the photos!

I do the same :) I just make a big pile in my drawer…
Time to change that!
Btw, the first picture is hilarious and really pretty
And placing it all into one pillowcase males it easier to grab and keep together.
the moment you enjoy reading a post about folding sheets… I guess I’m an adult now :D
