Robbert and I went on our seasonal shoppig trip! As you could see in my photo diary, we went to Arnhem to do some shopping. And let’s be honest, we usually end up at Primark. I was a little disappointed by the collection this time, as almost all the pieces I was attracted to had a high neckline. A high neckline just doesn’t work well with my body shape, I learned the hard way, haha. I noticed that any time I looked back at a picture of myself and thought “what is wrong with my boobs???” I was wearing a high neckline. So no more of those.
Anyways, that meant that a lot of the items I tried on, I gave right back to the lady by the fitting rooms. I only ended up taking a few items home with me, but these I absolutely love and will surely wear a lot.
Well look at that, miss late-to-the-party got a peplum top! However, this one has shoulder cutouts so it’s totally current, haha. The peplum on this top saves me from the high neckline, I feel. I think it’s quite flattering and I really like the material! It has a little bit of a structure which makes it look more expensive than it is. I can’t wait to wear this, I’m sure I’ll get a lot of wear out of it. I love simple pieces with a little something extra.
This top! It’s a complicated one. I couldn’t decide on the hanger whether I loved it or hated it. A little bit of both, probably. I know the cut is totally wrong but I like it anyway, haha. I do think it looks better on me than on the hanger, and it feels super comfortable. This one will be perfect for some of my historical hairstyling tutorials, I was really lacking a top like this. Again, it’s a little bit different but still quite simple. Can’t wait to wear this one as well!
Aww yeah, a onesie! I already have a onesie from Primark that I absolutely love, I call it my Arctic onesie. It’s SO fluffy and SO warm! In fact, it’s way too warm for most of the year, so I got me another one. A bit of a thinner one, but still really fluffy, soft and comfortable. I LOVE Primark’s loungewear, it’s the best. I can just imagine slipping into this after a rainy bike ride, it’s going to be heaven.
There’s a little knitted print pressed into the fluff, which is kind of weird, but cute at the same time. Love it.
I really wanted to get a pair of fluffy socks (you know, the rainy bike ride prep is on), and I ran into these. They’re adorable little cat socks from Gabby’s (Velvetgh0st on YouTube) collection! I hadn’t seen anything from her collection in the Netherlands back when it came out, but for some reason these fluffy socks were in stock. I love them so much, they’re super cute. The little nose is a pompom and the “Gabriella” logo is an anti-slip layer. These will be worn a lot, you can count on that.
And, of course, I had to get some super cozy tights. Ever since I heard about these from Zoella years ago, I’ve been getting at least one fresh pair every autumn and winter. These are the most warm, comfortable tights ever, lined with a layer of fleece on the inside. I pretty much live in these in the colder months so I always make sure to stock up.
And that’s everything I got! Not a lot, but I’m absolutely in love with all of these items. You’ll see me in them a lot I’m sure!
