My Fjällräven Re-Kånken Backpack

A few weeks back, I saw a blogpost by a Dutch blogger showcasing her new backpack. The second I saw it, I fell in love. I’d been on the lookout for a new backpack for a while and this one had everything I was looking for. It was elegant, simple, the perfect size and shape, and environmentally friendly. It was the Fjällräven Re-Kånken. Lucky for me this was just a few weeks before my birthday, and my parents were sweet enough to gift it to me as a birthday present. Meet my new backpack!

Cold Winter Day | OOTD

It’s been freezing in the Netherlands. Proper freezing. Ice skating fanatics are going mad, there’s frost on the trees, and there’s even snow on the ground in the countryside. We don’t get snow often in the Netherlands so it always feels super special when there is some. I’m personally very bad at handling cold, my body does much better in a warmer climate, but every now and again some good, old-fashioned wintery weather is just plain fun. Robbert and I decided to head out to Amelisweerd to take a little walk as the sun was shining, and I brought my camera to capture some of the beauty. I also thought I’d share my standard outdoors outfit for winter with you, what I wear when it’s freezing and how I attempt to stay at least somewhat comfortable. Hint: wearing two pairs of gloves helps a lot. I always try to make an effort to make my outerwear look cute, especially this time of year as it’s often all people see you in.

A Little Colour | OOTD

I set myself a challenge; to put together an outfit that I love, without any black or burgundy pieces. I still adore black and burgundy, but it’s good to have a little variety, you know? Well I’m happy to say I’ve succeeded! This outfit, which features a few brand new pieces that are quickly becoming favourites, is super comfy and perfect for autumn. I love the way brown hair looks with dark, mossy green, so I’d been on the hunt for a nice green sweater for a while. I found this one at H&M recently and it’s already become an autumn staple. Such a perfect basic piece to layer with!

Over The Knee Boots | How To Style

Recently I finally took the plunge and got myself a beautiful pair of over the knee boots. I’d been eyeing this style of footwear since the cold seasons of last year, but wasn’t able to find a good, affordable pair for myself. This year however, when autumn came around, I was determined to find some over the knee boots that would help me battle the cold in style. I found this lovely faux suede pair in a small boutique in Utrecht, and I’m over the moon with them. Although they’re quite an extreme fashion piece, they’re surprisingly easy to pull off. Today I’m going to show you three different ways you can style over the knee boots!
