I used to hate my eyebrows. I thought they were massive and uncontrolable, but in fact I just didn’t know how to handle them properly.
I think I’ve learned to fix my eyebrows up nicely enough, so today I thought I’d show you how to get perfect eyebrows.
First of all, I’m going to confront you with the horror that is my neglected eyebrow:
Sorry for that. Let’s fix it up. The first, and most important, thing is to determine what the shape of the eyebrow should be. I like to map it out in white eyeliner, to see what it’s going to look like.
I usually skip this step, but it’s a nice one when you’re doing your eyebrows for the first time or every now and then when you lose track.
The next step is to remove all the hair that is on or beyond the white lines. There are several methods for this: you can thread your eyebrows, wax or shave them, but I prefer to use tweezers.
As for the shape, there are all kinds of rules that I don’t believe in. I think you should have a good look at your face, and the natural shape of your eyebrow, and work with what you have. The arch and shape will mostly be determined by how far your eyebrow hair reaches.
I also don’t believe in the restriction of plucking above the eyebrow. It’s completely fine to remove stray hairs up there, as long as you’re careful to not overpluck and make your eyebrows lower than they should be.
The next step is to fill the eyebrows in. My eyebrows are pretty thick, but I still like to fill some parts in, to enhance the shape and fill in some sparser parts.
Next I take a little brush and comb through my eyebrows. This helps to blend in the eyeshadow or eyebrow pencil I use to fill in my brows, and it also moves all the hair to the right places.
My eyebrows grow in a very unpractical shape. They grow upwards in the beginning, and towards the end they grow straight down. If I leave them be, they will stick out of the shape I want, so I trim my eyebrow hairs into the shape I mapped out in the beginning,
The last step is to use an eyebrow gel, which will set everything in place and make sure nothing moves throughout the day. This is especially useful when you don’t trim your brows.
And this is the final result! I really hope you found this useful. Keep in mind that you can always pluck more, so go slow and keep looking in the mirror throughout the whole process! It’s ok to experiment. Good luck!
Really helpful post!! It has always been quite hard for me to get my eyebrows right. I'll get a white pencil and try you method, seems very promising.

Thanks for this post :)
I have one eyebrow that is slightly lower than the other, and it's difficult for me to get the right shape for them both ! I will try your method and see if finally I can make them even :D
