Nude eyeshadow is one of those makeup staples I couldn’t live without. The right shade and finish can give you an open, awake look in seconds if you just sweep it across your eyelids. Lighter nudes can brighten up your look, while darker nudes provide definition. I’ve been collecting nude eyeshadows for years looking for the perfect one, so today I want to share my favourites with you!
MAC Mylar
This is a beautiful light nude with a satin finish. Perfect to use as a highlight, but since it’s not too pigmented it can be used as a light wash accross the entire lid. It instantly brightens up the eye and makes you look more awake!
Sephora Californian Blonde
This beautiful shimmery champagne is one of those colours that I love to use on the inner corners of my eyes. I don’t usually like using shimmery eyeshadow on my browbone so I use this one mainly on my eyelid. I also love to apply this to the centre of the eyelid, it makes the eye look bigger and rounder.
Urban Decay Naked Palette
I bet you were expecting this one to pop up. This is probably the most beloved nude eyeshadow palette in the world, and although it’s not my absolute favourite, it definitely deserves a spot on this list! These eyeshadows are crazy pigmented, so I prefer to use them for a light wash over the eyelid on an everyday basis. For me personally, due to the darkness and glitteryness of many of the colours, this is more of a nighttime nude palette. I know many people who pull this off during the day though, and the quality is amazing!
Sigma Bare
Since I got this palette, nary a day has gone by when I haven’t picked it up. You can see which colours are my favourite by the indents, haha! Snoop and hitch are my perfect eyebrow combo, while elope is pretty much the perfect browbone highlight that matches my skintone so well. The colour on the far right is a shimmery, slightly more yellow version of elope, which I love to use on the inner corner of the eye. Act and command are perfect to use on their own for a quick eye look, and the matte black makes an awesome eyeliner. Yep, this is a must have.
NYX Caviar and Bubbles
I can’t count the times I’ve talked about this palette. It’s the only one I ever bring with me on holidays, because I just love it so much and it’s nice and compact. It’s filled with a perfect mix of shimmery and matte eyeshadows, on the lighter side of the nude spectrum, but has two darker colours you can use to deepen up the look. Every one of these colours (well, except the white maybe. I wish I could replace that with Elope!) is perfect for my skin tone. This is my favourite nude palette, for sure!
