Back when I was a teen, one of my favourite things to do was experimenting with makeup. I’d sit in front of the mirror for hours, trying out different looks, styles and colour combos, until my skin hurt from removing and re-applying.
Although I don’t spend nearly as much time playing with makeup as I used to, and I’ve found my preferred style and look, sometimes I still like to take a little bit of extra time in the morning and put some more effort into my makeup.
I bought the Naked 3 palette a couple of months ago, and I have to say it took me a while to warm up to it. I wasn’t too sure how to use it at first, but the more I do use it, the more I love it. It’s really growing on me, this one! Today’s look was made with the Naked 3 palette, and although it’s a little bit out of my comfort zone (shimmer, colour, aaah!), it’s still very wearable and I definitely think it looks good. I’m looking forward to experimenting with this palette even more, it really is a gem!
I used the colour Liar on the inner half of my eyelid, Factory on the outer half, and Blackheart to deepen up the outer corner. Limit was used to blend everything into the crease, and I used Strange as a highlight underneath my browbone. Factory and Blackheart are also applied to the lower lashline.
I used the Benefit they’re Real! Push-up liner to make a small wing on my top lashline, and Sigma’s Boost eyeliner on the waterline.
The mascara I used is Maybelline’s Lash Sensational.
On my face I used the Balea BB Cream and the Collection concealer in 02. I powdered everything off using the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Translucent, and for blush I used the Sigma Paris palette. I used Rouge on my cheeks, and Lumière on my cheekbones as a subtle highlight.
For lipstick, I used Kiko’s Luscious Cream Lipstick in 506 Misty Rose. This is quickly becoming my favourite lipstick, I think it suits me well and it’s the perfect pinky nude.
For my eyebrows, I used my ever-favourite combo of eyeshadows from the Sigma Bare palette: Snoop, Hitch and Control. Recently I’ve been doing my eyebrows slightly differently than I used to, and I really like the look of it. I line the bottom of my eyebrow with a slightly darker shade than what I use to fill in the rest, I think it gives a nice polished and dimentional effect.
I was planning on playing around with some make up today and I also have the Naked 3 palette and have barely used it so I think I’ll try this. Thanks for sharing! =)
I get you, at first I was like “What do I do with all this pink???” but it’s really grown on me :D
The Kiko lipstick and Liar are perfect matches! :)
Which one of the Balea BB Creams are you using and what do you think of it? My make-up is almost empty and I’m looking for a replacement. This BB Cream seems to be giving a natural appearance in a light shade.
I have the one for all skintypes with passionfruit scent :) It’s too dark for me in winter, but now that I have a little bit of a tan it’s perfect! I really like it, it’s light-coverage though so if you need more coverage I’d go for a different product.
I love this look! The colors compliment your skin tone so well and it’s very mature. You look beautiful! :)
Thank you! :)
