Flu Head | MIA

Hello my dearest readers!

I’m terribly sorry for having been missing in action for the past couple of days. Last Wednesday evening I went to bed quite early, not feeling too well, and woke up feeling outright bad. I stayed in bed until Robbert had to leave for school on Friday, at which point I called my parents and my dad came to pick me up. I’ve been bedridden in my old bedroom at my parents’ house ever since, and since I’d planned to spend Thursday and Friday on non-stop video and photo producting, I found myself running out of content quite quickly. Not that I would have been able to edit anything in the state I was in, but hey. You know that feeling like there’s a giant waterballoon inside your head that wobbles whenever you move and pushes your eyeballs out? I had that, yuck!

I think I must have caught the flu or something, I felt very poorly for a few days, but I’m happy to announce my head stopped aching yesterday and I was finally able to enjoy a proper sick day, watching interior decorating shows and reading all day. Today I feel even better, in fact well enough to pick up the laptop for the first time and slowly get back to work. I’ve answered a few emails and started working on ticking off items on my (by now ginormous) to-do list. I hope to be able to return to Utrecht on Wednesday, clean up the mess I had to leave there, and get back to filming on Thursday. That means I should be back to my old daily upload schedule by Thursday as well! Of course I can’t make any promises, but here’s to hoping. I’ve had a Valentines video planned for a long time that I’m very excited about and I WILL get that up, darn it!

I just wanted to come on here really quickly and let you know what’s been going on, and explain the sudden lack of content. Thanks for the support guys, I will see you very soon! <3

  1. Glad to hear you are alive and getting well. I was worried you were just gone.no more loepsie. Now let the rejoicing begin for she has returned to us.

  2. Get well soon! Wobbling waterballoons in the head sound like a Migraine to me. Had that once -knock on wood – and I’ll hopefully never get it again!

  3. Gosh, we really miss you when you’re away. I hope you are getting plenty of rest, drinking lots of liquids, and having extra Vitamin C.
It’s so hard to avoid getting the ‘flu when you’re around a lot of people frequently, which you are. They say it’s important to wash your hands often (good thing you have a some moisturizing cream in your emergency bag) and avoid touching your face as much as possible.
Please take all the time you need to get really well. Sending lots of good healing energy your way!

  4. Sorry to hear you were sick. It’s definitely that time of year. Glad you’re on the road to recovery. Don’t work too hard. Don’t want a relapse.
    😷🤒😴😊
