Good day to you on this lovely Monday, my dear readers!
I hope you’ve had a great week last week, I know I have. Summer came late to the Netherlands and we seem to be in the middle of it right now. Luckily I got to enjoy it and spend a lot of time outside. Let’s take a look at what my week has been like!
Monday
Mondays are boring days in Loepsie’s life, haha. I usually spend most of them behind my computer, catching up on administrative work, editing and writing. With lots and lots of tea, of course.
The evening was a bit more exciting though as my jazz ballet lessons started again! It was really good to see the girls again and to be able to dance. I hadn’t even realised how much I’d missed it over the summer until now. Super excited to get back into this!
On my way to Utrecht I spotted this beautiful sunset from the bus. It’s going dark so much sooner now, meh :(
Tuesday
On Tuesday I met up with photographer Monique for a photoshoot in the Utrecht city centre.
I had a really good time during the shoot and the photos came out amazing, you can check them out here :)
Afterwards I was really hungry so I quickly went on to do the groceries. I got muesli, crackers, strawberries, peaches, tomatoes, soy milk, beans, hummus, avocado’s, chickpeas, coconut milk and corn.
I had some carrots left from last week, so I decided to make ginger & coconut carrot soup. Look at this perfect little carrot! Isn’t it adorable?
The soup turned out great, as always. I topped it with a fresh tomato.
Wednesday
This playsuit is one I bought years ago, but has been sitting in my closet pretty much untouched. When is it ever appropriate to wear such a warm-weather outfit in such autumnal colours? It’s pretty much impossible to find a good occasion to wear this in the Netherlands, but now it happened. It’s officially autumn but it’s still super hot out, wooh! So I gladly busted out my playsuit, haha.
I spent the day filming and editing, as always, and then Robbert came by. He’s still working on his thesis so he went straight to work, and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and take a walk.
Dinner! Tex-Mex, my fav.
Thursday
On Thursday we slept in a little, and then I got right back to editing some more. I made these avocado and tomato sandwiches for lunch, so simple but so good!
After Robbert left I filmed a Beauty Beacons video, and almost melted away under my studio lights. So hot!
Friday
More filming and editing! Sorry my life isn’t very glamorous, haha :P
In the afternoon I packed up my stuff to head to my parents. I took these snacks with me on the train; roasted chickpeas, strawberries and a peach.
For some strange reason I took the wrong bus in Amsterdam and ended up somewhere I wasn’t supposed to, so it took me a lot longer to get home than usual. But I managed to get to my bike in the end, haha!
Saturday
In the morning I went to the scouting to help out with the first beaver meeting. I’m officially not a leader anymore, but the first day is always very busy and chaotic with all the new kids so I came to help. I also had to hand out the summer camp badges, of course ;)
Afterwards I met up with a friend. We bought a bunch of snacks and headed to the woods for a nice long picknick and catch-up session. It was really fun and we ended up being there for over five hours, haha! I got a sunburn, oops…
Penpingion enjoying some of my dinner. The rats LOVE noodles!
Sunday
Even though I’m not a beaver leader anymore, I’m still a member of the scouting. I’ll be coordinating activities for the members over 18 and other leaders from now on! Sunday was my first meeting with them, and we planned out what we’re going to do this year. We planned some really cool and fun activities, I’m super excited for everything.
Afterwards Robbert and I went over to his parents, where we had dinner and watched some more Jessica Jones. We only have the final episode left to watch!
And that was my week :)
Have a great one, guys!
Maybe you could try and wear that playsuit with tights and ankle boots? Paired with a jacket maybe it would be warm enough for autumn!
