My Biggest Insecurity | Tea Time

It’s Tea Time! Make yourself a cup of your favourite tea and sit down as I chat with you about having high self esteem, but low confidence. I talk about my own feelings and my biggest insecurity. Would love to hear what you have to say on this topic!

  1. The way you talked in this video about individuality and having a strong inner moral compass made me immediately think of the Introverted Feeling (Fi) cognitive function. Which would make you either an ISFP or an INFP from the MBTI personalities.

I relate a lot to your feeling of being on the outside of a group. And to being judged for looking or dressing less “normal”. I’ve had many crazier colors in my hair the past years (every shade of red possible, blue, green, purple) and my dressing style does stand out. Honestly, the comments I received from strangers were mostly positive, I’m actually more hurt by remarks from people I know.

Oh, and the part about teachers really warmed my heart, haha. I teach at undergraduate level, I actually really enjoy it, but it is nice to hear when people appreciate the dedication.

  2. You are a likeable person just as you are and those that get to know you will cherish you. Since this is true, it follows that each new person you meet has the possibility of being your friend. :)

Only YOU can control yourself – feelings, thinking, etc. No matter how terrible something is that other people say/do to you, you don’t have to react the way they wish you to, because you control your mind. They are trying to hook your emotions. Do not fall for it!
Also, you are a worthwhile person, therefore what they are doing/saying cannot be true.

    Take care.
