In today’s video I’m going to try and see whether my naturally straight hair will go wavy if I use the “Curly Girl Method”. Enjoy watching!

  1. I can’t imagine not colouring hair; I LOVE seeing bright crazy colour hair on any age, & I’ve been DIY bleaching mine, & had it every colour – with NO problems – for 40yrs now! Not so long ago was a craze for poker straight hair, & 99% of people went for that, it got so boring looking around – Everyone should just please themselves & do what they like with their own hair, stuff sheeple ‘trends’. Natural, grey, coloured, bleached, long, short, straight, wavy, curled – as long as YOU like it, that’s all that matters!

  2. Awesome! So fun to see this. I feel like your hair looks good in many different ways!

I didn’t even know what Curly Girl Method was until someone at my hairdressers asked me if I use it :| I had to Google it haha! I had straight hair as a kid & used to sleep with foam rollers in my hair to get curls. When I went through puberty, my hair turned curly & I’ve never looked back. I’m 40 now, and I rock my curls every day, however I feel like. For vintage styles and for braiding, I just adapt the style for my curly hair. I’ve never once straightened my hair, I’ve never once colored my hair (I’m going gray & rocking that too). I use no heat on my hair, and haven’t since I did big 80s bangs back in the 80s (and crimped my hair in the 80s too!). I wash my hair every day, and have no issues with texture, oils, etc. Washing & letting the hair dry is how my curls form & set every day. I usually do braids wet, which is how I make them work on my curly hair. I have healthy hair that I love, and I do nothing special to it at all. No fancy or expensive products, I just find what works for me and roll with it. I use a few inexpensive products that help reduce frizz and keep the curls looking well-formed throughout the day, and I’m off running. Having the right kind of haircut is key, and finding a stylist that can cut curly hair is super-important.
I love when people want to rock their waves or curls! Love that!!
