Top 10 Green & Black Teas

Recently I shared my favourite caffeine free teas: herbal, rooibos and fruit infusions that my caffeine sensitive self can enjoy throughout the day and at night. While picking out those teas I started thinking about my favourite teas overall and of course, I had to do a top green & black teas as well. I couldn’t choose my top five, so I ended up with ten… Oops! Ah well, more tips for you, right? Read on to see what my ultimate tea favourites are!

TopTeas1

Simon Lévelt Granny’s Apple Pie
A black tea with apple pieces and delicious aromas. This tea was bought as a gift for someone that ended up with me in a complicated way, and at first I didn’t like it at all. I thought the flavour was strong and rather strange, until I tried it with some frothed milk. Oh my! I’ve been addicted since and now I even love it without milk.

TopTeas2

Adagio Teas Spiced Apple Chai
I love chai tea. This black tea and spice blend from India is very “in” right now and I’m all over it. It’s warm, spicy, comforting… And I didn’t realise it but looking at this list, I seem to really be into apple-flavoured tea as well, haha!

TopTeas3

Adagio Teas White Blueberry
The only white tea in this list, and in fact the only white tea I own. And I absolutely love it! It’s light, fruity and slightly sweet. I definitely want to look into getting more white teas for my collection!

TopTeas4

Pickwick Apple Pie
Ha, what do you know, black tea with apple pie flavour. It basically tastes like apple and cinnamon and you can’t go wrong with that. This one is an old favourite!

TopTeas5

Teekanne Green Tea Opuncia
I discovered this flavour when I took home one sad teabag that someone left behind in a vacation home I was staying at. I tried it and instantly fell in love. Opuncia is a cactus and has a very unique flavour, it kind of reminds me of aloe vera. It’s deliciously fresh and sweet and I’m really bugged that I can’t get this tea anywhere near me! I’ll have to wait until summer holiday before I can restock so I’m saving this like nobody’s business.

TopTeas6

Pickwick Green Tea Strawberry & Lemongrass
Another green tea that I can’t get in the Netherlands, although Pickwick is a Dutch brand. I got this one in the Czech Republic and fell in love with it. It’s fresh and fruity, a very “casual” flavour, fit for any occasion. Love!

TopTeas7

Pickwick Winter Glow
Another spicy black tea. As you could see in my top 5 herbal teas post, I love spicy winter flavours. This one comes back in stores every winter and almost everybody I know loves and looks forward to it.

TopTeas8

Lipton Minty Morocco
A black tea with mint and liquorice. It’s a delicious middle-eastern inspired tea and one of Robbert’s favourites, too.

TopTeas9

Green Tea Jasmine
Simple green tea with jasmin is my long-time favourite, doesn’t matter what brand, I always love it. It’s easily accessible and just gives that little extra to green tea.

TopTeas10

Simon Lévelt Het Wonder van Gent
Simon Lévelt is a coffee and tea brand that has stores in many Dutch and Belgian cities. Each city has its own exclusive blend that is only sold in Simon Lévelt stores in that city, and this one is from the Belgian town Gent. Robbert’s mom brought it back for me when she went there and I love it! It’s a very fresh-flavoured tea that’s perfect to get you going in the morning.

What are your favourite tea kinds and flavours? I recently discovered a love for sencha tea, but have yet to purchase a full package of one.
