LG G3 | My New Phone

The phone struggles are over. No more running out of battery after 2 hours, no more blacking out in critical moments, no more freezing when someone tries to call me… I’ve finally got a new cellphone! The LG G3 was my birthday present from my parents and I’m forever grateful to have a normal, well functioning phone that I can rely on.
Today I’d like to show my new cellphone to you and tell you a little bit about how I feel about it. I’m by no means a tech reviewer so these are just going to be the views of a regular girl that uses a smartphone for communication, entertainment and work.

First of all; isn’t she a beauty? This is the gold version of the LG G3, but it’s a nice soft gold, almost a rose gold or very beige metallic pink. I like that it’s not flashy and in-your-face but nice and elegant.

This phone has a QHD display, which basically means it’s super high-definition. Instagram and YouTube are a dream on this thing! Really, the screen quality is extremely gorgeous, and at such a resolution where it’s physically impossible for the eye to detect a pixel. Speaking of Instagram, the LG G3 has laser-guided autofocus on a 13 megapixel camera, which means crisp, good quality photos guaranteed. The front-facing camera has 2.1 megapixels and a couple of features that make taking selfies easier. There’s an integrated beautifying filter, and you can start the countdown timer by holding up your hand and then making a fist.

The phone’s edges are curved in the back in order to make it feel lighter, smaller and thinner. The LG G3 has a 5.5 inch screen, making it a “phablet”- a cross-over between a phone and a tablet, but the rounded egdes make it very comfortable to hold and not feel too big at all. The large screen makes it more comfortable to type, in my opinion, and as you can imagine it’s perfect for watching videos.

You’ll notice there are no buttons on the side of the phone- this is because they’re actually located at the back, just underneath the camera. This feels a little strange in the beginning but it actually makes a lot of sense. There’s no reason why buttons should be located on the sides, and this placement is very intuitive and easy to reach when holding the phone with one hand. The buttons have different textures so it’s easy to tell them apart.

LG G3 4

I’ve had the LG G3 for a month now and I’m extremely pleased with the battery life so far. I keep the screen on the lowest brightness and only have to charge every day and a half/two days. We’ll see how the battery holds up in time, if I should ever need a new one it’s good to know that it’s easily replacable.

The phone runs on Android, which I’ve used for years and am comfortable with, so that’s great. The speed is great as well, I can have multiple apps open at the same time (there’s a dual-screen mode as well!) and it’ll still run smoothly.

All in all, you can definitely say I’m over the moon with this gorgeous smartphone that does everything I expect it to and more. It’s amazing quality for the price and I can definitely recommend it!
