What’s In My Shower?

I’m a nosy person. I like knowing what people carry around in their purses, what their houses look like from the inside, what they eat and what products they use for personal hygiene. I don’t know why, but it’s just so much fun to take a peek into something personal you don’t normally get to see! Since I snoop around in other people’s lives so much online, I think it’s only fair I should open a little window into mine every now and then. Today I’d like to share with you what’s in my shower! Not only for curiosity’s sake, but also because these are products I truly love and enjoy.

What's In My Shower 2

Manufaktura Orange & Grapefruit Shower Gel

This showergel was a gift from my grandma, it’s a citrus scented bath and shower geld from the Czech brand Manufaktura. I love the smell of this one! It’s super fresh and invigorating, and the formula itself is really nice as well. The shower gel contains olive oil and panthenol and it doesn’t leave your skin dry at all.

What's In My Shower 7

Shower Puff

Whenever I use shower gel, you can bet I’ll be using it with a shower puff. I love how much foam you get by using one of these, and it also saves a lot of product since it allows you to wash your entire body with just one squeeze of shower gel. Yay for foam!

What's In My Shower 1

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel

I’ve had this one for SO long! I don’t think I’ll be getting a tub this big of anything again since it takes me ages to get through, haha! I do still love the scent though, luckily, and it’s still an absolute joy to use. Fresh floral scents are my favourite and this one is just that, a light, springtimey floral. This shower gel is very gentle on the skin as well, and I love that it comes with a pump.

What's In My Shower 8

Scrub Glove

This. I don’t understand why more people don’t have this in their showers; it turns any shower gel into a scrub instantly! The glove is lightly abrasive and allows you to gently scrub the skin on your body, and it’s pretty much infinitely reusable. So much more cost-effective than buying those salt-and-oil body scrubs!

What's In My Shower 4

OGX Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo

You guys know how much I love this shampoo by now. It makes my hair shiny and voluminous and clean and it’s just the best shampoo I’ve ever used. I keep repurchasing it although it’s definitely pricier than what I’d normally be willing to pay for a shampoo, it’s so worth it.

What's In My Shower 9

Vitagoods Scalp Massage Brush

I got sent this thingy a while back to try out in a video and I’m still using it. It’s a hair brush that vibrates and massages your scalp while you work shampoo into your roots. It feels really nice and helps protect my nail polish by taking over a lot of the work I usually do with my fingertips, so that’s a win in my book. It claims to make your hair grow faster by stimulating blood flow and I still have to see about that, so I’m going to keep using it for a little while longer!

What's In My Shower 3

Argan Care Conditioner

Another one of those things I talk about way too often, haha! I’ve just fallen in love with this super budget friendly conditioner that doesn’t contain sillicones and does everything a conditioner should do. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, doesn’t weigh it down and doesn’t make it stringy. Love it!

What's In My Shower 6

Hair Clip

This pretty much speaks for itself, but I like to keep a hair clip in the shower to clip my hair up when I don’t want it to get wet, or to clip my hair up while I wait for my conditioner to do its work.

What's In My Shower 5

Michael Todd Tropical Fruit Enzyme Exfoliant Scrub

Another one of those items I’ve had for a VERY long time, haha! I go through this super slowly since I usually use my electric face brush to exfoliate my face, but this scrub is really nice. It’s organic, gentle, and smells nice, which is all I could ask for in a face scrub. I like it!

What's In My Shower 10

Konjac Sponge

This is something I don’t use very often, but I still keep it in the shower just in case (and because I don’t really have anywhere else to store it, haha!). This konjac sponge is a super soft natural plant-derived sponge that’s extremely gentle on the skin. I use it to clean my face when I’m not using my electric face brush but still want to use some kind of tool to gently cleanse my face. It feels very funny on the skin, it’s much smoother than you’d expect and almost gives a “slimy” sensation, although it’s not slimy at all. Very odd, but nice!

What's In My Shower 11

Razor

Now this definitely speaks for itself, haha! Gotta keep the hairs at bay :) I just use these cheap disposable razors, they work just fine.

So that’s everything I currently have in my shower! I’d say many of these items are staples, and some of them are there just so I can switch things up. I think this is a nice amount of products to have in the shower, they take up one wall-mounted stainless steel bin in the shower, which is nice since I share my bathroom with the neighbour and don’t really want to flood the bathtub/shower with my overflow products, haha!

  1. I looove my shower puff and scrub glove for the exact same reasons! And you can just throw them into the washing machine to get them clean after a few uses. Sadly they’re made out of plastic, so I’ll look for a environmentfriendly alternative as soon as they’re no longer usable.

  2. Hoi Lucy =) Mocht je binnenkort eens tijd hebben, zou je dan een review willen schrijven over de Konjac Sponge? Ik ben benieuwd wat je ervan vind.
