Happy Monday everybody! I hope your week has been off to a great start so far. We’re expecting to get the sun back soon, haha! Also, typing this down has made me notice I talk about the weather in ever single Loepsie’s Life post. How Dutch of me. Anyway, let’s have a look at what my week has been like!
Saturday, Sunday & Monday
As you may remember from last week’s plog, I was away on “Wie Is De Mol” camp all weekend, including Monday. It was a very intense but super fun weekend full of deceit, puzzles, games and challenges. My job was to film everything that happened plus everybody’s confessions, and then edit everything into videos following the format of the original TV show.
I have so much action-packed footage that I’ve decided to make an entire season out of it instead of just one episode this year, so that’s going to take me quite a while to edit, haha! So far my little laptop isn’t really agreeing with it ;)
Tuesday
After I came home on Monday evening, I went pretty much straight to bed and my plan was to sleep in, but since for some reason I’m unable to do that on my own, I woke up at eight in the morning. I guess that’s fine as well as I had a LOT of work to catch up on, but I was a little tired still. I decided to take it easy on Tuesday and kind of ease back into my normal routine, in order to avoid getting sick (which usually happens to me after I’ve been thoroughly exhausted and stressed).
No better way to start the day than with rattie cuddles! The little guys are doing great, by the way. They’ve grown a lot, I think they’re almost all grown up now! They started fighting a little when Maxen weakened significantly, to determine who would become the new alpha male, but it all went well, the struggle for power is over now and they’re still good friends who like to pile up in small spaces, haha!
I packed up all of my filming gear and headed back home to Utrecht.
Where I had a quick lunch and put away my stuff, before heading out to the grocery store.
And this is what I got! Bread, peppers, bananas, broccoli, beans, peeled tomatoes, pesto, corn, avocadoes, onions and grated cheese.
I did a load of laundry (such an exciting day haha!)
And baked myself a batch of chocolate peanut butter breakfast muffins to have throughout the week.
After cleaning and catching up on some administration, it was already time to cook dinner. I made this ultimate Dutch dish, haha! Super un-typical for me but it was a nice and easy meal to make.
I decided to call it the night early and take a nice, long hot bath. With a glass of prosecco, yes. Why not. I poured some yummy smelling Kneipp bath oil in, put a sleep/meditation playlist on on Spotify, applied a face mask, closed my eyes and relaxed. It was so good and just what I needed! I also scrubbed my whole body and gave myself an thorough manicure, to get rid of all the evidence of having been at the scouting for four days. It was succesfull, haha!
Wednesday
On Wednesday I headed to the university to meet up with my friend who’s sister’s wedding makeup I had done last week. I’d forgotten my jacket at her house so she brought it for me. I felt a little bit sad when I walked though that university building, I do miss it! Not the deadlines and tests and papers, but I do miss the lectures and people and apparently even the buildings, haha.
The rest of the day I spent filming and editing, until Robbert came in the late afternoon. I made us some TexMex food which was delicious, and we caught up on all the shows we’re watching. Everything came back on at once! Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful, Peaky Blinders, and Orange is the New Black is coming back soon as well. Wooop!
Thursday
So Wednesday night is when I REALLY caught up on sleep, haha! We slept in for ridiculously long, it was still needed apparently.
I took some photos and wrote a couple of blog posts.
I was so proud of this eyeliner, haha! It turned out absolutely perfect. I did it for the KIKO eyeliner review, and I love it so much I may use it again for a complete look in a Face of the Day post this week.
Friday
On Friday I was feeling super lazy. I wasn’t really up to anything, but I pushed through and managed to film the Christine Daae Beauty Beacons video. THIS HAIR GUYS OMG, can I please please please just wake up with this every day?
It took a little longer to film the video since I was so lazy, so I missed my train to Amsterdam, heheh. So I stayed a little longer, cleaned my house while belting out all the songs in my random playlist of songs I like, and made a quick dinner which I took on the go. I had dance class in the evening and was going to miss it if I didn’t pack my dinner, woops!
But I made it on time! Found this cute little sticker hidden behind the checkout thingy on the bus, it made me smile.
After dance class I got treated to this amazing view on the way back. Isn’t it incredible?
I had kind of a slow startup after camp, but am back again at full force this week. Bring it on! Have a good one my lovely readers!
I thought you were holding a small black dog with a red collar in the first photo. XD
Those muffins looks delicious! Is the recipe available in another post? I feel like I’ve seen it before and am curious.
Yep, from way back haha! http://loepsie.com/2014/04/healthy-breakfast-muffins-2/ :)
Wauw, dat uitzicht van de laatste foto en het Christine Daae haar. Werkelijk prachtig!
