KIKO Lasting Gel Eyeliner

It’s been so long since I last used a gel eyeliner! I’m pretty sure it’s been years, at one point I just switched to liquid and never went back. Until I started using the Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up liner, which is a gel eyeliner in a liquid liner-type packaging, and became hooked on the formula. I came to miss the matteness and longevity of gel, liquid liners just don’t provide enough of that. A short while back I was doing a bride’s makeup and found I needed more control and precision when I did her winged eyeliner, so I decided to re-visit my old friend, the gel eyeliner. I hopped over to the KIKO store and grabbed the KIKO Lasting Gel Eyeliner.

And can I just say, YEEEEES! This does absolutely everything I could ask of it and has exceeded all of my expectations. The formula of this gel liner is a lot thinner than other gels I’ve used before, which makes it super easy to apply and allows for great precision and control. The gel just glides on and applies super smoothly. The product is shiny in the jar, but after you apply it it dries within seconds and becomes matte. It’s intensely black, so you’re set after just one layer.

I’ve found KIKO Lasting Gel Eyeliner to be truly longlasting. It stays put all day, but comes off easily with a little bit of makeup remover. It doesn’t smudge or transfer at all throughout the day.

I am in love. Using this with a small, thin eyeliner brush has given me so much more space for creativity than liquid liners in pen form or the Benefit liner, and I’m super excited to start experimenting more. So many opportunities! A whole new woooorld! My eyeliner has been on fleek every single day since I started using this, I’m truly surprised by how easily this glides on. Bring on the eye art.

Two thumbs up for KIKO Lasting Gel Eyeliner! This is easily the best gel liner I’ve ever used. I’m curious about how long this will take to dry up in the jar, but I’m not very worried about it since it’s such a wet formula.

KIKO Lasting Gel Eyeliner is available in KIKO stores in the Netherlands for €8,90.
