Anna Karenina | Beauty Beacons of Fiction

Welcome to a new episode of Beauty Beacons of Fiction! Today I’m going to show you how to recreate the look of Anna Karenina, the leading character of the novel by Leo Tolstoy. Keira Knightley’s look from the 2012 movie Anna Karenina is what I used as a reference for this week’s episode. Enjoy!

  1. Years ago I watched and old Russian version of Anna Karenina, maybe filmed in the mid 1950s. It was a very long winded and boring film. This Anna had quite a prominent mustache and heavy make up. The movie was in Russian with English and Spanish subtitles.
The Anna you chose was better, and you did a good job recreating the make up.
I just found this in the Web.
1953: Anna Karenina (1953 film), a Russian version directed by Tatyana Lukashevich.
    Actress, Alla Tarasova
