This past week has been… Rainy. I always get more done when it’s rainy though so I don’t mind that much, as long as it doesn’t last for too long. I was very productive this week which is good, let’s take a look at everything I’ve been up to!
Saturday
On Saturday, we had our group outing at the scouting. We organise an activity for the entire group (all ages) once a year and this year we went to the lake. We hired some boats, invited the parents to cook something for the big picknick, and played some games together. Among them, throwing cheese puffs onto the team captains’ heads. The team that can make the most cheese puffs stick wins! It was a great day.
Sunday
Robbert was supposed to join us on the group outing as well, but he had a really bad bout of hay fever so he had to stay home. I went to visit him on Sunday, when he felt a little better.
Tuesday
The rain!!!
I found a little window in which I went to do the groceries quickly. I managed to stay dry!
I got bread, bananas, kiwis, sweet potato, peeled tomatoes, corn, beans, hummus, soy milk, cream cheese, oats and carrots.
And this is when the work started! I’m trying to get my week of planned posts & videos back, having that space makes working a lot less stressful. That does mean creating content like a mad woman, haha! And that’s exactly what I did, all day long.
Dinner! Sweet potato, lentils, spinach, and tomato with ras al hanout. Yum yum!
Wednesday
Morning!
Filming and writing and editing and shooting…
I decided to trim my hair. Every now and then I notice my ends are looking just blah and I snip a bit off. Today was the day!
Ta-dah, fresh ends. Just a straight cut this time, I didn’t feel like doing any layers.
Robbert came over in the afternoon, and we took a little walk to the supermarket to get some avocadoes and snacks. The wild peaches were on sale, yeeees! I love those things so much.
Thursday
On Thursday the weather was actually nice for a change. I really wanted to go out and take a walk, but Robbert was too lazy so I went alone, haha! I took a nice walk in the park.
My watch arrived!!! Oh my, guys, I am SO in love with this! It’s a zebrawood watch by Jord Wood Watches, they kindly gifted it to me. I’m over the moon and have worn it every day since I got it. So gorgeous!
I filmed the “full face using only highlighter challenge” for my Dutch channel. Don’t I look amazing? ZING!
This is how I know I need to take a break… I accidentally poured my tea into my bowl instead of the cup that was also on my desk.
So take a break I did! I really felt like re-organising my kitchen cabinets, specifically this one. It’s so prominent in my kitchen but it was so full before, it made the whole space look very crowded. This looks a lot better, but of course all that stuff had to go somewhere, so the next step was moving everything else around as well.
This cabinet which used to hold a lot of my tea and coffee making supplies now houses my dry goods, straws, tea boxes and vitamins.
The tea/coffee supplies (mostly consisting of a hundred mugs) were moved to the lower cabinet, which used to hold my plates and glasses. This is the cabinet which took the most damage, haha! I’m going to have to come up with a different solution in time because this looks horrible, but at least all of this is out of sight now. I’m happy with the changes!
Friday
On Friday I filmed the Empress Livia Beauty Beacons video.
And wrote a couple of blog posts while enjoying some fruit!
On Thursday my brother got the phone call that he’d passed his senior finals! This means he’s officially graduating high school and ready to start university in September. He got amazing grades and I’m really proud of him! We had a little celebration on Friday and my mum let him choose what we were going to eat. Give the choice to an 18-year-old boy, haha! We ordered pizza.
So that was my week! I’m hoping to be at least just as productive this week and I’m excited to get started. Have a great week guys!
What a great week. And that pizza looks amazing!
It’s New York Pizza’s Californian Veggie, I believe it’s an international one :) It’s really good!
