My Experience Using A Menstrual Cup

Alright, time for something a little bit different. Tea Time goes TMI, as today I’m sharing something I feel like every woman should know of. The menstrual cup is a fantastic alternative to pads and tampons that I only learned about recently, and wish I knew of years ago. Awareness needs to be spread, dudettes! In this video I’m going to tell you all about what a menstrual cup is, how it works, and my personal experience with it. Let’s pray the trolls stay away from this video, haha. Enjoy, and feel free to ask if you have any questions!

  1. Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been using a Mooncup for four years now, still looks brand new (i boil it with white vinegar and a bit of sodium bicarbonate, once every 6 months, then boil it again in clear water to rinse it :) )
And also, I’ve cut the stem, but it’s not a question of shape or anatomy. I can’t reach the bottom of the cup directly with my hand, I just push the cup down with my vaginal muscles. takes a bit of practice but it’s way more confortable than using the stem.
And one final pro, I couldn’t take a bath, or go swimming with tampons, because the tampon would be soaked up with water (from the sea/bath/pool) and then it would leak… I’ve read that it happens to quite a lot of women, depending on their anatomy. But I haven’t had this problem with the cup, I can swim for hours!

  2. Thank you so much for this video Lucy ! I’ve been using a cup for a year and a half now, and I can say it’s a life changing. Of course, at first , it’s a little bit scary and need some practice, but it’s worth it. I can add in the “pro” categories the fact that you don’t have any “smell” problems with the cup ( I know my point here is very glamourous). For me, “wearing” a cup feels more clean, if you know what I mean. Of course, there is all the good points you’ve presented. It’s very important that youtubeurs like you talk about it to spread the good news and avoid bad prejudices ;)
