Happy rainy Monday, everybody! Please don’t tell me it’s sunny where you live, I’ve almost forgotten what the sun looks like by now. Regardless of that though, I did have a nice week, and I’d like to share some snapshots of it with you today. Let’s take a look at everything I did!
Tuesday
Starting the week with a grocery haul! I got peppers, crackers, veggie mince, muesli with nuts, black beans, jalapeños, sundried tomato hummus, corn, soy milk, canned tomatoes, garlic and avocado.
It’s most definitely sweater weather now in the Netherlands, and although I’m not too happy about the cold wind and constant rain, I am very happy I get to wear my favourite sweaters again. I live in these, they’re so comfortable! And I quite like the way they look as well.
Now that they days are getting shorter, I find myself getting tired a lot more quickly. A yummy matcha latte is just what I need to get me out of my afternoon slump!
Robbert came over, and I made us some veggie chilli for dinner. We watched the new episode of Westworld. I’m in love with this show! It took me a couple of episodes to really get into it, but now I’m super excited about it. Definitely recommend you give it a go, if you’re looking for something new to watch.
Wednesday
Filming and editing is what I spend most of my days on.
I finally managed to get my hands on a mop. It took me three years to get one, oh my… I’ve been mopping the floor by hand, which of course meant I rarely did it at all. I was actually surprised how little dirt came off, apparently vacuuming all the time does the trick quite well!
In the evening I headed out to Amsterdam to meet up with Marina, a Canadian YouTuber that runs the Dating Beyond Borders channel. She focuses a lot on cultural differences in her videos and we thought it would be fun to film a collab together.
Dressed in all black, as usual :)
Thursday
I filmed and edited a bunch of videos on Thursday. I couldn’t go out because it was raining all day again. It’s been raining so much and I feel absolutely boxed in! If it keeps raining this week, I’m going to push myself to go on my walks with an umbrella.
As I did want to go out for at least a few seconds, I decided to hop on my bike and check out the nearby natural food store. They had SO MANY THINGS! I’m definitely going back to get more stuff, but this time I only got some vegan cheese. I’d been wanting to try that out for a while and I’d hoped they’d have it here. They did! I’m actually surprised by how good this is, I was expecting it to taste a lot worse. Not sure it’s worth the money though.
Sushi bowl for dinner. I’m so glad I discovered this dish, it’s so easy to make, so healthy and so delicious.
Friday
Sorry I’m so boring, but I actually spend most of my time either working or eating, hahaha! Sometimes both :)
I headed to my parents’ town in the evening. I promised to help the older kids at scouting with filming some short films. I cycled past this beautiful sunset. Autumn sunsets are the most gorgeous!
I helped the girls record a movie trailer for “Killer Unicorn”. It turned out amazing, haha!
Saturday
On Saturday morning I went back to the scouting again, to replace one of the leaders in the group I used to lead myself: the tiny kids! On my way home I ran into the Sinterklaas intocht, the parade that welcomes Sinterklaas into the city.
I spent the rest of the day clearing out more stuff from my room at my parents’. I tackled the big built-in closet. It took a lot of time and effort but it feels so good to have it over with! This was the biggest project of the room and I’m so glad it’s done.
As always when cleaning this room, I found a lot of old stuff. This is a top I made as a teen, after something Amy Lee wears in one of the Evanescence videos. Aww!
Sunday
Morning rattie cuddles!
I headed to Utrecht early in the morning to prepare. Marina was coming over in the afternoon and we were going to have her try some Dutch food, so I bought some supplies at the supermarket.
We had a lot of fun filming, I really hope you’ll enjoy the videos we made!
I got this new lantern recently. Love this so much! The lightbulb is filled with fairy lights, it looks so festive and I’m sure it’s going to look great in the background of my videos.
That was my week! Hope you had a lovely one as well, and a great week ahead of you.
This is a comment to a Youtube video from your Dutch channel. I saw in the comments someone mentioned Wardruna and I used Google translate to see what was said :D So you like Wardruna? I’ve just discovered them this fall and I’m in love with their songs.
I had the exact same black and pink tutu, oh my GOD
The sun never goes down where I live (Dubai)
send us some rain!!
I will take some of your rain, ha ha! We have been in a severe drought here for many months (I live in the U.S. South). There are forest fires burning in many places in the mountains, so bad you can see them from space & we’ve had hazy smoke and smoke smell all the way south where I live.
We just started watching Westworld too. My husband loves it!
