On The Mend | Loepsie’s Life

Greetings to you on this lovely Monday! The past week was a mellow one for me. As you could see in last week’s diary I caught a bug and I spent most of this week dealing with it. My family caught it too so I took care of them too for a good chunk of the week. I didn’t take that many photos this week but I’m still going to share everything I did with you, of course! Let’s take a look at what Loepsie’s Life has been like this past week.

on Tuesday afternoon, I hauled myself out of bed, made myself a large cup of tea to go and made my way over to Utrecht. I was hosting the Dungeons & Dragons Christmas sessions, which is one of the few real-life, non digital sessions we get to do so I really didn’t want to cancel it. I still felt really weak but I figured I’d be alright if I just took it easy and didn’t try to cook up an entire feast, like I usually like to do.

So I went to the supermarket, got a readymade salad and spiced it up a little with more veggies and toppings. Everybody brought food so we had plenty and this way I was still able to contribute something.

I’m really glad I went, it was great to see my friend again who lives in Ireland now and play a good, old-fashioned pen and paper session.

The food was gread, the session was fun. Already looking forward to the next time!

I had some of the leftovers for lunch next day. This soup, guys, is to die for. I asked my friend for the recipe so I’m going to recreate that and share it with you soon, you HAVE to try this!

Next morning I quickly filmed a simple video and made my way over to my parents’ to take care of them and…

The ratties! Look at that smiley face, haha! <3

On Friday morning I made my way over to Utrecht again to get some more work done. I decided to finally take down my Christmas decorations! It was kind of a sad thing to do all by myself, but I was surprised by how quickly I was able to put everything away.

The no. 1 thing you need to make the decorating process go smoothly, is good decoration organisation. I have everything in separate boxes and bags and tied together well so that nothing ever breaks or gets tangled. It’s worked amazingly well for the past 5 years!

No tangles, ever. I just use whatever container I have on hand, like this cookie container or tomato bucket. Top tip!

The last tree… By the way, see that red bow on my window? I totally forgot that one. It’s still up. I forget something every year, sigh…

Loepsie.com got a little overhaul! Nothing mayor, just a little bit of a fresher look with a new colour scheme, new font and new header. What do you think?

I warmed up some soup I had in the freezer for dinner, and mixed in a bit of one of the spice mixes I got from my parents. Spice mixes are life.

Next morning I decided to lie in a little, and when I finally opened my curtains I saw… SNOW! What?! We rarely get snow in these parts of the country so it’s always super special when it does fall. Even a little bit like this.

I had a smoothie and oatmeal with pear for breakfast. With a bunch of supplements to battle my cold.

Then I made my way over to the scouting because it was time for one of our monthy activities! This time we had a two-parter. We started out with a fairytale themed murder mystery dinner, which was a lot of fun. Everybody put so much effort into their costume! I’m the witch, in case you can’t tell.

After dinner everybody changed and we had a onesie party. We hung out in our onesies with snacks and a drink and a movie, and then we decided to play twister. It was hilarious, I had such a good laugh! We slept over at scouting and I went home with Robbert next day. It was a great weekend!

I hope your week has been good as well guys. See you soon!
