It's always time for tea

Lentil Soup | Simple & Delicious

Autumn is soup season for me. As soon as temperatures go down and it gets dark early, I start to crave comfort food, and in my opinion there’s nothing as comforting as soup. Or lentils, which are my all time favourite food. Needless to say, lentil soup is the best of both worlds. I like to make a huge amount of a good, hearty soup on a Tuesday, and then enjoy it all throughout the week. This week I made a super simple lentil soup, which turned out so great that I wanted to share it with you. As you know I have a knack for making dishes that are impossible to photograph nicely, but hey. It’s all about the flavour ๐Ÿ˜‰

Interior Inspiration For The New House

My move to Amsterdam is only two months (maybe less) away, and I’m beyond excited. After four years in a studio, I’ll finally have an entire apartment to decorate! Let’s be honest here, decorating the new place is one of the things I’m most excited about. Hello, multiple rooms! I’ve been Pinteresting away ever since the house hunt started and went through a new wave of pins every time another potential house presented itself. By now I have almost a year’s worth of pins for various different rooms (including some we didn’t end up getting), so I have a pretty good idea of what I like. I also have a general idea of where I want to go with each room, so today I thought I’d share some of my inspiration with you. Just to get a feeling of how I’m planning to decorate! Oh, by the way, Robbert doesn’t care much about interior decorating and he likes my taste, so I’ve been granted a lot of decorating freedom. I do run everything by him of course ๐Ÿ™‚

Our apartment is 50m2. That’s quite an average size for a one or two person apartment in Amsterdam, but it’s still pretty small so we’ll have to figure out some smart solutions to make the most out of the space.
We have the living room, which flows into an open plan kitchen. Then there’s one bedroom, with a small laundry closet inside. Besides that we’ll only have a bathroom and a hallway, haha!

An Update From The HQ | Loepsie’s Life

Happy Monday, everybody! As I sat down to type up my photo diary of last week, I realised I had taken a grand total of three photos this week. Three. That’s not much to go on, haha! So instead of a photo diary, this week’s Loepsie’s Life is going to be a written update. With the solemn promise that I’ll do better next week ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been very preoccupied with several things this week. First and foremost, the move! November is coming closer, and with it Robbert’s and my move to Amsterdam. I didn’t really realise how much work is involved in moving, aside from the actual packing and unpacking. I let my landlady know I’ll be moving out in November. She asked whether I knew anybody who’d like to move into my studio, so I asked around and found a few people who were interested.ย Someone already came to look at the studio, and they were really pleased so I think they’ll be pursuing it.
