My New Love, The Tea Pot | Loepsie’s Life

Hello my lovely readers, I hope you’re all doing well! I’m back with my photo diary from last week, to share everything I’ve been up to. Last week was a pretty quiet one, where I mostly focused on working ahead before our sewage renovations next week. It was a really nice week, actually. Let’s take a look!

A while ago our old teapot suddenly cracked as Robbert poured hot water in. The incident could’ve been way worse, luckily he noticed it straight away and nobody got hurt. It was the perfect excuse to finally buy a new tea pot, though! I never really liked that previous one. It served its purpose, but I can’t say it was very pretty. This one, however! This is a whole other story. Look at this beauty! It’s the Bredemeijer Verona 1.5l and I’m in love.

It’s a really big classic glass teapot, which is exactly what I wanted. The shape is lovely and you can watch the tea leaves steep. I love watching the colour of the water change so I really wanted a glass pot. This one is just perfect.

We recently took the leap and cancelled our TV subscription. We don’t watch television much these days as we tend to choose Netflix shows over it, but I did watch a show recently and the ad breaks were unbearable. A TV subscription isn’t worth the money with how little we use it now and how annoying the programming is. When we do watch television shows we tend to watch them online anyway, so it was about time we switched to fully digital entertainment. There’s an online service in the Netherlands which allows you to watch Dutch television shows on demand, so we’re going to switch to that. Anyway, as we’re going digital, we decided to get a Chromecast so we won’t have to bother with HDMI cables every time we want to watch something. Now that we have it, I can’t see how we went so long without it, haha! It really does make things easier, and I love that I can cast Spotify now. Although I was quite surprised that the Spotify TV app apparently has a built-in automatic karaoke function :)

Ok, please tell me it’s not just me… Seeing a fridge fully stocked with delicious fresh foods makes me so happy!

I filmed the Beauty Beacons of Fiction episode for Evelyn Carnahan. This one was lots of fun to do and it was received very well, which always makes me happy.

I’ve started mixing custom food for the rats as I suspect their lab blocks make them fat. I’m adding more grains to their diet. This time I’ve added rice puffs, spelt puffs, macaroni, muesli, lab blocks and rat mix. They get fruit and vegetables every day as well, as treats.

They get very excited when I’m mixing food, haha! Running around the cage all hyped up.

I got a very special delivery: a greenhouse filled with herbs and three new Nivea shower creams. It’s a PR sample from Nivea and I think this is the cutest thing. The herbs match the scents of the clay-based shower creams, which smell gorgeous by the way.

The greenhouse now functions as protection against the rats for the plants on the windowsill, haha! It works perfectly :)

A super foggy day. Temperatures have been going up but we haven’t seen much of the sun this week over here. There’s something so mysterious about thick fog, don’t you think?

My new motherboard arrived and my brother came over to install it. Luckily that really turned out to be what was wrong with my PC and now it works again. Yay! I missed it a lot.

Editing my Beauty Beacons video on my PC <3 I’m glad to have a laptop to fall back on, but the PC really is infinitely better for editing on.

When the DM doesn’t bring tokens, but you need to battle… D&D was a colourful happening this week, haha!

OOTD. I really like this outfit, this is definitely one I’ll be repeating :)

I was home alone on Saturday so after having cleaned the house in the morning, I put on some piano music and sat down on the sofa with a cup of tea for a few relaxing minutes. I love carefree weekends like that, when you don’t really have much to do.

The boys enjoyed their relaxing time as well.

A little excerpt from my Instagram stories. No way I was going to put that much work into pin curling my hair, only to then put it in a ponytail and ruin it at the gym. I rolled my hair into large curl clumps and pinned it up like that, which worked surprisingly well! I only really do low intensity/low impact workouts so this holds just fine. Good to know, haha!

In the afternoon I headed into central Amsterdam to look for some high waisted wide leg trousers. I didn’t find the perfect pair, so the search continues.

And that brings us to the end of last week! I hope you’ve had a great weekend guys, talk to you soon!
