Making A Vintage Dress Out Of IKEA Fabric

Welcome to a new sew with me video! In this one, I’m going to transform the beautiful IKEA Filodendron fabric into a vintage-style dress. Enjoy watching!

  1. Hi Lucy!!!
I love your YouTube channel! I found you because I’ve been binge watching sewing videos, and YouTube suggested you… And I’m so glad it did.
Your dress looks fantastic! Gertie has her own YouTube channel, she’s been putting up wonderful content I think you might enjoy, she teaches vintage sewing techniques like the lapped zipper you did. Anyway, to get to my point lol, you could sew a little elastic into the top shoulders to keep your sleeves up, or put those little straps inside to hook onto your bra. I’m not sure if the ease in your sleeves is to give your arms more freedom or if it’s a pattern defect.
Truly though, you look beautiful in it, no one would notice those imperfections you pointed out. Brava!!!
    Love from NY, Ali
