A Real November Week | Loepsie’s Life

Happy Monday, my lovely readers! I can’t believe how time is flying by, and that November’s already here. Only a little over a month and it’ll be Christmas! Until then, I’m making sure to enjoy beautiful autumn (whenever it’s not raining, that is). Let’s take a look at what my week has been like!

Monday

On Monday I headed to Utrecht for my friends’ graduation ceremony. The girls I used to study with have finished their master’s degrees now and I wanted to be there for the ceremony.

The weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL this day! Look at the gorgeous Dom tower…

The location of the ceremony was beautiful; this is a view of the garden. The ceremony itself was beautiful too, I felt so nostalgic and proud and a little sad at the same time. It’s really over now: none of my friends study Celtic at UU any more!

My friend who’s also our DM came over for Ireland, so we arranged to meet up for a Halloween session of real-life D&D. We decided to go for a little potluck for dinner, and I made an autumnal salad. I bought my other groceries right away as well, and got bread, spinach, tangerines, pumpkin, apples, lentil burgers, cranberries and pickled beetroot.

I decided last-minute to decorate my room a little, haha! I used the cobwebs I had left from my Spider Queen Halloween tutorial, and arranged some spiders here and there. D&D was really fun and so was catching up!

Halloween themed dessert! Ghost marshmallow hot cocoa, and pumpkin petit fours :)

Tuesday

Leftover lunch, haha :) Robbert left and I had the rest of the day to film videos and work.

OOTD! This top always shrinks after washing…

At the end of the work day I decided to go for a little walk. Bad timing…

I got rained on. A lot.

That’s what onesies are for, though! Cozy cuddling up after a rainy walk. Perfect.

I had the strangest dinner of scraps ever. I had spinach with nori, soy sauce and sesame seeds, and black pepper roasted potatoes with mayo. I don’t recommend this combo.

Next morning I found a piece of nori on my doorstep. Hmm.

Filming time! Now that October is over and Halloween has gone, it’s time to bring back Beauty Beacons.

Lunch break!

I was very happy with the final look. My results are never as smooth as the hairstyles I’m basing mine off of, but I kind of like fluffier hairstyles and this one turned out really nicely.

I had horrible cravings all day, and when Robbert arrived I was really grumpy. He fed me leftover crisps he found in the kitchen and then I was all happy again, haha!

For dinner I made beetroot mash and a lentil burger.

Thursday

I don’t remember what we did on Thursday, and apparently I didn’t take any photos that day. Let’s assume I filmed and edited a video, haha!

Friday

Time to head back to my parents’!

Look at this pumpkin my dad and brother carved, hahaha!

Saturday

On Saturday I helped out at the scouting. The kids were doing theatre and I was there to help with face painting and filming. I was so proud of the kids, they did really well!

On the journey to Robbert’s house, we got caught in the rain. Again. But look at this gorgeous, intense rainbow! It was actually a tripple rainbow, but you can’t see the other two in the picture.

Sunday

On Sunday, my own adult group at scouting had arranged to make cheese and beer. The cheeses turned out really nice! I skipped the cheese making and finished sewing and decorating my denim blouse instead. We also prepared a little barrel of beer that’ll be done in a week, no idea how that’s going to turn out yet!

My new bed is done! There are a few pieces of furniture in this room now that I’m planning to take with me when Robbert and I find a place to live, so the room’s a little crowded now. When those pieces are gone, we’ll get a desk and the guest room/office space will be done!

And that’s my entire week. I hope your week has been great and you have an even better one to come!

  1. I saw the most gorgeous rainbow too, on the 30th October! My mom and I chased it until we found a spot with less buildings to take a photo of it! http://tinyurl.com/jn9uoms

I just love rainbows, cutest natural phenomenom of all. ♥
