My Current Favourite YouTubers

I’m going to go ahead and confess I probably spend as much time watching YouTube content, as I do producing it. There, I said it. Most of the watching is done outside of working hours though so it’s all right, haha! As I assume most people do, lately I’ve been watching more videos from my home page and theĀ recommended section than I have my subscription box. It’s been all about getting sucked into the minimalism, zero waste, productivity and planning world for me. However, there are still a few YouTubers whose videos I look forward to every time and have especially been enjoying lately.

The Michalaks

I know I’ve featured this family in every YouTuber roundup I’ve done on here, but I truly think these are the best videos on YouTube. The Michalaks make family vlogs that are edited into cinematic masterpieces. I love their outlook on life and being on YouTube, I love the style, and I have the biggest soft spot for their children, creepy as that may sound. If I can only recommend one channel, this is it.

Jess Beautician

This lady right here represents complete food diary goals to me. Jessica makes mostly food related/recipe videos, and I feel like the “What I Eat In A Day” videos make up the core of her channel. Her recipes are right up my alley, being cooked from scratch but really simple and using all the flavours I love. Actually, watching her videos was a huge part of what made me decide to give veganism a try. It made the whole thing seem much more approachable and realistic to me. She’s not preachy about veganism whatsoever, and even if you’re not vegan I’m sure you’ll really enjoy these videos. They are beautifully shot and very well made in general.

The Mustards

I started watching Jenny Mustard a while back, but I’ve especially come to enjoy the content she makes with her partner David. They have a morning show that’s currently turning into more of a podcast concept, and I love playing their videos in the background while I’m cleaning the rat cage specifically (lol). They seem like very pleasant people to be around and I love their interaction.

Pick Up Limes

Pick Up Limes is a channel I recently discovered, and when I did I binged pretty much all of her videos. Sadia makes wonderful inspirational content, presented in a lovely calming voice and accompanied by beautiful visuals. Definitely worth checking out!

Kayley Melissa

For the longest time, I’ve been actively avoiding watching other people’s hair tutorials. I was scared it would somehow influence the way I make my videos, but now I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing any more. I think I have a lot to gain still in terms of production value (something I struggle with), and watching other hair tutorials actually inspires me to do better. Kayley Melissa is basically the queen of hair tutorials on YouTube and I can see why- she’s a lovely person with great quality videos that I find very enjoyable.

Who are your favourite YouTubers to watch at the moment? Please leave them in a comment, I’m always looking for new content to watch! :)

  1. Youtube suggestions page is such a great way to dip your toes into different subjects, isn’t it? I feel that some of my prominent interests and lifestyle changes have/are taking root through exploring videos on the respective topic.

I too love Jenny Mustard and the Mustards joint channel! Before I began watching them, when other creators would mention Jenny, her channel name would make me think of a housewife who made videos on a minimalist household, haha :D I love that her content and ideas are so original and on the forefront of her community’s work.

Some smaller channels on minimal living that I enjoy a lot are “Living the life you love,” Minimalish Girl, and Victoria Zimmerman (vlog side of FemmeHead channel).

  2. You also may enjoy cam&nina, a lovely and very down to earth couple. They are all about self care, minimalism, healthy and vegan food. Nina also very passionate about hormonal balance, wich could be interesting for you , since you quit hormonal contraception. Sadly they post very rarely.
Check out Blue Ollis too, great footage about minimalism.
I also love Naturally Unceonventional, this channel is all about natural health and skincare. Brianne struggled with several health problems during the past years and she is such a lovely, raw soul.
And I highly recommend Carolina Zebrowska. An unusual channel about vintage style mixed with such a unique sense of humor. She creates
    her own clothes and costumes.

  3. I have a very eclectic group of YouTube subscriptions. My own content is garden and pet oriented, and I love watching what other creators get up to. My current favourites (in no particular order) are:

    1) You Lucy xx I’ve been binge watching your hair history and style beacon series.

    2) Taylor Nicole Dean – I love her animal videos. If you haven’t seen her Cowfish called Cheese yet, you need to :)

    3) Emzotic – I’ve only just discovered Emma, but I’m really enjoying her animal and bird videos.

    4) Garden Answer – Laura is such a sweet soul, her videos are amazing, and how she manages to upload almost daily and still maintain her huge garden I have no idea. Plus he parents own a garden centre #envy

    5) Dainty Dress Diaries – This sweet Irish girl does the most gorgeous home decor, DIY, travel and vlog videos. If you love teapots, blush pink and florals, this girl is for you.

  4. I strive for minimal screen time daily, but I do watch one or two YouTube videos a day, majority of them vintage hair/lifestyle, and a few other hair channels. Your channel was the first I subscribed to! And I still love it!! :)
    I also enjoy:
    1) Kayley Melissa! Great variety of hair videos.
    2) The Cherry Dollface. The queen godess of vintage hair & makeup. I bow down to her hair skills. I feel like I am watching a friend when I watch her.
    3) Milabu. So talented. Great hair & other videos. When I cut my hair, she gave me so many ideas. But, her short styles can be done on long hair too, which I also used when my hair was long.
    4) The Pinup Companion. Newer to the vintage scene, but so good. Enjoy her well done videos very much. A talented videographer and YouTuber.
    5) A Vintage Vanity. I haven’t seen as much from her lately, but she’s super-good with vintage hair & styling. Fun to watch her sewing projects too.
    6) PinupDollAshelyMarie. Her hairstyles are great, simple but always looking so good. Fun to see her makeup and style videos too.
    7) Annies Forget Me Knots. Awesome braiding and hair videos. Straight forward and always great, everyday ideas I love to use.
    8) LisaFreemontStreet. I love her no-nonsense tutorials. Her vintage hair videos are great. So much variety and so many ideas. I love that she recreates hair from specific actresses or movie roles. Love that!
    9) Lily Jarlsson. I just love her videos. Her vintage hair and especially her styling is great. Her YouTube channel has disappeared recently, as have her other socials, so I’m not sure what happened. But, when/if she comes back, I’ll be waiting!
    Happy watching!

  5. Your channel is the first one I subscribed to, and I love it a ton!
Other than that, I enjoy Charisma on Command videos, I think they’re pretty good self-improvement and charisma videos. Good content and non-boring delivering, in my opinion!
Also I love AlexandrasGirlyTalk videos. Not so much information-wise, but I find them really relaxing.
Also the School of Life is amazing, psychological-philosophical content, given in very well-written, almost literary texts, delivered with an enjoyable british accent.

  6. Besides your channel, Jen Brett is a fun channel on YouTube. She vlogs almost exclusively, sometimes with full days of eating, but they are not conventional. She’s a young Canadian woman, very authentic and focused on enjoying your life. I’ve enjoyed watching her journey.
