It’s time for another Cozy Mug tea box unboxing! I love receiving my monthly boxed filled with tea surprises, although they always arrive a bit late all the way to the Netherlands, lol. This is the March box, which I believe was delayed a little more than usual. That doesn’t make it less fun at all though!
This month’s box is magic themed, which I absolutely love. Let’s take a look at what I found inside.
Blue Stone Worlds Apart
Oh, wow! I’ve seen some crazy bonus items in tea boxes, but never a CD! This one is by Blue Stone and contains a DVD as well. It’s new age music, I haven’t been able to listen to it yet as I don’t currently have a CD drive, but I’m really excited to give it a shot in the near future. I used to love music like this as a teen!
Divine 70% Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate is my favourite kind, and the Divine bars I’ve tried so far have all been very good. I’m afraid this one won’t last in my pantry for long :)
Adagio Earl Grey Moonlight
I tried this earl grey with bergamot, cornflower and vanilla straight away and I’m very pleasantly surprised. I’m not usually a fan of vanilla tea but in this blend it works really well to make a round, warm and very unique flavour. It’s a very pleasant tea! I served it to my boyfriend and he asked what flavour it was, which means it must have been special since he usually doesn’t care, haha! A winner, for sure.
Adagio Oolong Goddess
I’m drinking this tea as I type this blogpost, and I have to say I really like it. It’s a pure oolong tea with the soft, kind of dusty flavour that you expect from an oolong. It’s not bitter at all (even if you leave the tea bag in) and it tastes and smells very delicate. The tea looks like little balls inside a pyramid bag, that slowly expand as you pour the hot water over them.
Yogi Bedtime Tea
A caffeine-free blend of herbs that promote relaxation and sleepiness. As a “stress-chicken” (as we say in Dutch), I can’t praise calming herbs enough. Sometimes you need a little help to unwind, and what better way than by chamomile and valerian? The taste is very warm and soothing, perfect for a late night.
Be careful though, the blend contains st. John’s wort, prolonged use of which can counteract hormonal contraception (oops!) as it decreases estrogen levels. I do feel like this should be more widespread knowledge (the risks, the risks!) so I’m here to spread the word, haha!
Adagio Red Bloom Tea
Yeees! I love these things! It’s a little ball of tea that you put in a glass tea pot, and when you pour water over it, it will open up and form a beautiful flower made of tea leaves. It’s a very extraordinary experience, this is one to save for a special occasion for sure!
And lastly, there was a little Cozy Mug magnet (which is now up on my fridge) and a tea bag to go with the Earl Grey Moonlight tea.
An awesome box, as always! I really love the contents this time, they’re great quality and I’ve liked the tastes of all of them. A winner in my book!
