New In: Ireland Haul

Of course I couldn’t resist doing some shopping while I was in Dublin! I tried really hard to contain myself and not get too much, and I think I did pretty well. I got a couple of things that I needed and a couple that I didn’t necessarily need but am very, very happy with. I’d like to show you everything I got today as I’m super excited about all of these items!

Makeup, of course. I’d just run out of Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation the day before I left, and as you know that has been my favourite foundation for years. I’ve been having a hard time finding Bourjois in drugstores around here lately, so I decided to get some over in Dublin. I got the same colour I always use, no. 52.

I’ve been getting into matte lip products more and more (terribly late, as always), so when I bumped into this Sleek Matte Me matte lip cream I really wanted to take one with me. I swatched a bunch of them on the back of my hand (they have gorgeous colours!) and ended up choosing this one, in the colour Bittersweet.

And then lastly I got a backup of the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in no. 02. I have one of these already but am going through it pretty fast, and as they don’t sell this in the Netherlands I wanted to make sure I’d have one ready as soon as I ran out. Always prepared!

On the air plane I noticed the faux leather on the handles of my handbag had started peeling off, and that’s when I know it’s due to be replaced. I went looking for a new handbag right as I arrived, and fell in love with this one. It’s a little black structured bag from Forever 21 which is just perfect in my eyes. It’s big enough to hold everything I need, but not so large that I can make it too heavy. It’s simple and elegant and I just love it so much!

Also at Forever 21 I got this pair of black jeans. They’re a simple skinny mid-rise pair, really your basic black jean, but I needed a new one and this one is really comfortable and flattering. I’ve been wearing it nearly every day since I got it!

The last piece of clothing I got is this light sweater. It’s a grey knit with three quarter sleeves, very airy and perfect for this time of year. This is one of those items you can just throw on and not worry about. I’ve been wearing grey a lot lately as you may have noticed, and this will fit right in with the rest of my wardrobe. I got it at Penney’s, Primark in Ireland.

And finally, of course I got some tea. In my photo diary I told you all about how I fell in love with Oolong Flower Power, it goes without saying that I had to bring some of their teas home with me. I got the Tea of Emperors and another anonymous one, of which the name was cut off the label and I can’t remember what it’s called. They’re both green tea blends with flowers and spices and they’re AMAZING! Now I just need to find them a nice glass jar and put them in with the rest of my tea collection. Yay!!

So that’s everything I got! Not too bad, right? Haha! I love to go shopping abroad, even if it’s just to see what kind of stuff they have over there. It’s always a different experience than it is at home!
